In many cases, you will have variations of an item in your inventory. This is also commonly known as item matrix. For instance a cloth may have different sizes (S,M,L) and colors (Green, Blue, Yellow, Red).
To represent this in Gazelle, you will need to create a Variation Group:

  1. Go to Item window by clicking Item from the top menu bar
  2. Click Create Variation Group
  3. This will be the main heading that represents the variations for instance if you have (Polo Shirt Red Small, Polo Shirt Green Medium, Polo Shirt Green Large), you can give Polo Shirt as a name for the Variation Group
  4. Fill in the Variation Attribute tables. Enter a Name for the variation i.e : Color, Size. Enter all the possible Options for the variation separated by commas. For example with Color you may have : Green,Blue,Red,Yellow. For size you may have S,M,L,XL,XXL.
  5. Click Save

Once a Variation Group has been created, to add a variation:

  1. Right click on the Variation Group in the Item Window
  2. Select Create Variation
  3. Fill in the attributes for the current variation
  4. You can override Price and Image URL for the variation as well
  5. Click Save
  6. The variation will appear under the Variation Group in the Item table
  7. You can repeat the steps to create more variations

Note that:

  • You can't add two variations of the same Variation Group with exactly the same attribute options
  • In the Item window, use the Group Variations checkbox on top to toggle whether to collapse/expand the variations under the Variation Group
